PVK "Wagner", which suffered huge losses in the battles in the Bakhmut direction, is no longer needed by the occupiers.

Its place is now occupied by units of the regular Russian army.

According to him, during the battles for Soledar, the "Wagneri" soldiers performed a very important task - they gave the regular army of the Russian Federation a break to regroup and transfer forces to the territory of Ukraine. 

"Thanks to the fact that the Wagnerians in the Bakhmut direction were restraining the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and we paid all our attention to efforts to repel their attacks, the Russian army was able to fill all the gaps in the understaffing of the personnel, partially tighten the equipment and weapons," the expert noted.

At the same time, Oleg Zhdanov noted that due to the conflict between the "Wagner" PMC and the Russian Armed Forces, the mercenaries of Yevgeny Prigozhin's private army are being put in a situation where they have to leave after doing their job. 

"They are being forced out in the harshest way.

They are given the opportunity to die, those who are still left, the main backbone, and the rest can be taken from the first line for reformation, and regular units take their place," he described the situation.

Zhdanov noted that the commander of Russian troops in Ukraine, chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, wants to replace the "Wagners" with paratroopers and marines.

On this occasion, he already had a new conflict - with the commander of the airborne troops. 

"He [the VAT commander] is categorically against the use of airborne troops as ordinary infantry.

But Gerasimov has no way out, because it is believed that the marines and air infantry are the most combat-ready.

But they do not take into account the fact that today it is more than half filled with mobilized people, whose quality is not the military that was before the invasion.

But he throws them to the forefront and causes a conflict with the commander," the expert noted.

In general, according to Zhdanov, in the Bakhmut direction, analysts observe that the "Wagnerites" are written off and disposed of, and regular units take their place.
