HomeThe Security Service, with the assistance of Acting Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko and the leadership of the Metropolitan Police, neutralized an organized criminal group that operated under the leadership of the Migration Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine.
This is reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
"As a result of investigative and operational actions, the SBU officers detained the deputy chief of the Migration Police Department, the department head of the specialized unit of the Metropolitan Police and twelve other members of the group," the SBU said in a statement.
According to the investigation, officials "covered up" the activities of an extensive network of places of debauchery in Kyiv.
Girls aged 18 to 30 with a vulnerable psycho-emotional state were selected for such "facilities".
In addition, they created a network of specialized groups in messengers, in which "administrators" looked for female citizens to provide intimate services for money, including "escorts".
Pimps offered them "trips" to clients in various regions of Ukraine, and also sent them abroad.
The cost of "services" ranged from $500 to $10,000 per night.
As part of the criminal proceedings, the employees of the Security Service conducted more than 30 searches at the addresses of the suspects, in particular, in the administrative buildings of the National Police of Ukraine.
Based on the collected evidence, more than 20 persons were notified of suspicion under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
Art.
255 (creation, management of a criminal community or criminal organization);
Art.
302 (creating or maintaining places of debauchery);
Art.
303 (pimping or engaging a person in prostitution).
The issue of choosing a preventive measure is being resolved.
An investigation is ongoing to bring to justice all persons involved in the activities of the criminal group.
