The focus of cultural assets in Xinpu has shifted from restoration to revitalization. Using local elements, we carefully designed practical tourist items such as umbrellas, masks, maps, etc., hoping to let the public know Xinpu again. Welcome to visit Xinpu according to the map.

Li Anyu, director of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, said that in the local knowledge construction project launched last year, architect Xu Jiahong held a historical map workshop to collect the life stories of local residents, and invited Shen Enmin, a well-known mountain and forest illustrator, to draw Xinpu from a "bird's-eye view" The natural mountain scenery and historical streets and alleys are included, in addition to various cultural resources, including important buildings and landmarks.

This map fully presents the superior geographical situation of the traditional settlement of Xinpu "backed by the hills, facing the plains, surrounded by two streams". The invisible code of the temple.

The same eye-catching umbrellas and masks, and the street map printed on them are the works of Huang Zuoan, a graduate of the Tamkang Department of Architecture, when he was a student.

The story booklet introduces the history of Xinpu, the history of historical sites, and the young people who returned home with rich pictures and texts, and provides a window for the public to have a deeper understanding of Xinpu.

In conjunction with the "2023 Hsinchu County Lantern Festival to Welcome the Year of the Rabbit" event, the Cultural Affairs Bureau will provide 200 hand-painted historical maps, and those who participate in the street on February 10 (Friday) will have the opportunity to get a copy of the history for free map.
