There is a ban on the departure of officials abroad in Ukraine.

You can leave Ukraine only on the basis of official travel documents, but there are three exceptions when an official can cross the border.

This was stated by the spokesman of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko in an interview for TSN.ua.

"The government resolution that has already been adopted. It has entered into force. Now there is a clearly defined category of officials. These are

government officials, people's deputies, judges, prosecutors, as well as representatives of local self-government bodies and employees who are booked for the period of mobilization during martial law by the authorities state authorities

. Now they can go abroad exclusively on a business trip. There are certain exceptions when this category of persons can cross the border. They are clearly prescribed. I note that, in general, this applies to both men and women," he emphasized.

Demchenko reminded that previously the restriction on the departure of men applied only to men, citizens of Ukraine, between the ages of 18 and 60. Now the ban on departure abroad also applies to female civil servants.

The list of exceptions is only for:

  • for women or single parents to visit children abroad in exceptional cases, provided the necessary documents are available;

  • for treatment abroad;

  • on the basis of a separate decision of the head of the DPSU in case of death of family members abroad.

  • "A man must be a single parent when they (parents - ed.) accompany a child who is abroad. This is a child up to and including 18 years of age. Or they are accompanied abroad. And this is in exceptional cases. This is when the head of the institution where they work, gives them such an opportunity. That is, they must have documents in their hands that confirm that they really work there, when crossing the border for this purpose.

    The second exception

    - it can also be treatment, but it must not be just a desire to go for treatment for border, and when there is confirmation from the Ministry of Health that a medical institution abroad is ready to accept this person for treatment.

    The third exception

    - this is when the head of the DPSU decides on this category of persons, if they have a close relative who died abroad.

    And, in fact, they follow with this goal.

    Again, having the confirmation documents," Demchenko explained in detail.

    In the end, the spokesman of the DPSU called on civil servants to review

    Government Resolution No. 57, which specifies the rules for crossing the border in detail.

    We will remind you that on January 27, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution prohibiting official travel abroad during martial law without valid reasons.

    Female civil servants were also banned from leaving.
