[Reporter Huang Mingtang/Taitung Report] A house fire broke out on Boai Road in Taitung City this afternoon. Firefighters rescued a 52-year-old man with burns and a scorched head from the room. He was sent to the hospital and died. Before the incident, there were firecrackers in the house, but whether it was caused by the firecrackers still needs to be confirmed by the fire department.

At around 11:00 noon today, the Taitung Fire Department received a report from the public that someone set off firecrackers in the bathroom of a house on Boai Road and a fire broke out. Fire trucks were immediately dispatched to rescue and found white smoke coming out of the second floor. A burnt 50-year-old man surnamed Yu was rescued in the room.

At that time, the injured person was in a coma, with obvious burns on the head and chest.

According to the firefighters and firefighters at the scene, the public reported that someone set off firecrackers in the bathroom of a house on Bo'ai Road, causing a fire, and the person who set off the firecrackers was also burned.

But the neighbors said that they did not hear the sound of firecrackers, and it was impossible to set off firecrackers in the house, and it was possible that the wires had gone off.

Taitung Mackay Hospital stated that Yu Nan suffered burns on his body and was unconscious when he arrived at the hospital. After emergency treatment, he still died.

Taitung County Fire Department, County Police Department, and District Prosecutor's Office stated that the cause of the fire needs further investigation.
