[Reporter Ding Yi/Taipei Report] The China Express labor union is dissatisfied with the company's delay in paying performance bonuses for 1.5 months. It has passed a strike vote and can launch a strike at any time.

At the same time that China Express held the board meeting today, the labor union sat in front of the Ministry of Communications and waited for the results of the board of directors to be released.

Chen Hongchun, chairman of the China Express Labor Union, said that if the results of the board meeting are not as expected, a strike will be launched.

China Express is a subsidiary of China Post. The China Express labor union came to the Ministry of Communications last year to protest the low wages issue, which was resolved at that time. However, this year’s performance bonus was only paid out one month before the Spring Festival, which is about 2.5 months behind in previous years. 30,000 to 50,000 yuan, once again causing dissatisfaction with the trade unions.

Although the company promised to issue a reissue after the financial report is approved, the labor union found it difficult to accept it. They believed that the reissue after the year would make employees feel sad, so the strike vote was passed years ago.

The board of directors of China Express held a board meeting at 2 pm today to discuss the relevant demands of the trade union, which is still under discussion.

Chunghwa Express is a subsidiary of Chunghwa Post, which is responsible for the distribution of bank checks and documents. A strike may affect nearly half of Taiwan, about 1,400 banks. Except for Hua, Dong, and Waidao, customers are all over Taiwan.

In front of the Ministry of Communications, the China Express Labor Union appealed to the Minister of Transport, Wang Guocai, to fulfill his promise.
