[Instant News/Comprehensive Report] A few days ago, a contractor of the mining giant Rio Tinto lost a small container containing radioactive "cesium-137". In order to prevent the public from being exposed to nuclear radiation threats, Australian radiation protection and nuclear energy safety ARPANSA and the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organization (ANSTO) joined the search for the small container.

According to Reuters, Australia's Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency announced on the 31st that it will join the search for the lost "cesium-137" small container.

In addition to ARPANSA, the Australian Nuclear Technology Organization has also sent a team of experts to assist in the search, which spans 1,400 kilometers from the Newman mine to a storage facility in Perth.

The "cesium-137" small container was obtained by a Rio Tinto contractor from the Gudai-Darri mine on January 12, and it was only discovered on January 25 that the small container was lost in transit.

The Australian government suspected that the vibration of the truck caused the screws fixing the small container to loosen, and the small container of "cesium-137" fell out of the gap in the truck.
