The municipality of Pavel Banya is starting a campaign for free neutering of domestic dogs on the territory of the municipality, after which their owners will be exempted from a fee under the Law on Local Taxes and Fees, reports the press center of the local administration. The campaign starts tomorrow and will continue until the end of June this year.
Castration takes place at the request of the dog's owner and after a prior request has been made by calling 04361 30 83. Male and female animals over the age of eight months will be castrated.
After the manipulation, they will be vaccinated and dewormed, the municipal press center also states and specifies that all procedures will be carried out at the GardVet clinic in the village of Gorno Sahrane.

The administration thanks in advance all those who express a desire to castrate their pet dogs and emphasize that in this way unwanted reproduction and the increase in the population of stray animals will be prevented.

In the Municipality of Pavel Banya, a discussion took place between animal advocates and representatives of the administration regarding the frequent cases of violence against domestic and stray animals.
"The measures we have taken are to strengthen the castration of stray dogs and to start a program for the castration of domestic dogs funded by the municipality.
Every citizen will have the opportunity to treat his dog at the expense of the administrator at the veterinarian we work with.
The dog will be taken by our employees from the citizen's home, it will be returned to him neutered and chipped and will be entered in the pet register," explained Deputy Mayor Milena Kavrkova at the time.
