Norway can send German-made Leopard 2 battle tanks to Ukraine as early as the end of March.

This assumption was made by the Minister of Defense of the country in an interview with AFP.

Oslo currently does not say the exact number of tanks.

"We haven't decided on the number yet," Defense Minister Bjorn Aril Gram said.

Norway is included in the list of European countries that have promised to supply Western-style tanks to Ukraine.

In particular, the state has 36 Leopard 2 tanks in service.

Gram previously stated that these would be Leopard 2A4s.

The media also reported that Norway is considering the possibility of supplying Ukraine with up to 8 Leopard 2 tanks.
