Thea Angelos, Australian founder and CEO of Smart Women's Society, believes that following a few simple rules on a regular basis can go a long way towards boosting your bank balance.

Of course, in the conditions of the war in Ukraine, many Ukrainians were forced to reduce their expenses, but the topic of saving money and increasing it remains relevant.

This is reported in the Daily Mail.

Daily

You need to track your expenses and check your bank balance.

When you start writing down your expenses, you'll understand where you can cut back and what you're actually spending your paycheck on.

Weekly

Angelos is convinced that every seven days you need to do two more things: check your savings and expenses, and plan your meals.

By buying groceries once a week, instead of shopping throughout the week, you'll automatically spend less.

Buying groceries instead of ready-made meals will help further reduce costs, as there is a rule of "cook once, eat twice".

Monthly

Angelos advises reviewing your budget every month and automating your accounts, savings and investments.

Automating your transfers means you'll pay your bills without having to think about them, and budgeting means you can cut any excess spending.

Annually

Angelos also talked about three savings accounts that everyone needs, including a high-yield savings account for short-term goals like going on vacation or buying an appliance.

The second is a high-yield savings account for long-term goals.

It's about saving for big purchases: cars, houses, etc.

And thirdly, it is necessary to have an "emergency fund" account in case "something goes wrong".

In this case, you should have a savings of three to six months of your expenses in case something goes wrong.
