The United States will not provide Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets, President Biden said in response to journalists' questions.

The supply of modern aircraft to our country is a subject of discussion in many allied countries, TSN says.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that up to two hundred fighters are needed to replace the physically and morally outdated aviation that we have today, because the newest aircraft in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine appeared back in 1991.

The request of the President of Ukraine to provide our military with modern fighter jets was heard almost two weeks ago.

According to media reports, there is currently a discussion going on among our country's allies, and not all participants are giving an answer that would satisfy the Ukrainians.

The White House supports the US president's position on not providing planes and reminds of the assistance that is already being provided.

The Chancellor of Germany says more about the already announced decisions, particularly regarding tanks.

He criticized the debate regarding the supply of fighter jets to Ukraine.

"What we need now is a serious debate, not a competition, in which perhaps domestic political motives play a bigger role than supporting Ukraine," Olaf Scholz said.

Britain promises to continue to support our state and listen carefully to its requests in the meantime.

At the same time, the spokesman of the country's government assures that the transfer of British fighter jets to Ukraine would be impractical, because it takes months to learn to fly them.

The countries of continental Europe express a slightly different position.

Thus, Poland announced the day before that the issue of supplying F-16 fighter jets is possible only in close coordination with NATO allies.

"We see that the level of determination of the free world to defend Ukraine is growing.

It's really good.

Something taboo, a topic forbidden six months ago is becoming a reality today," said Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

The Prime Minister of the Netherlands also speaks about the absence of a taboo on the provision of fighter jets to Ukrainians.

His country is ready to consider the relevant request of Kyiv.

French President Emmanuel Macron also does not rule out the provision of fighter jets.

However, with conditions - that the equipment does not lead to escalation and is not used for attacks on Russian soil and that the provision of fighter jets does not weaken the French army.

There are also statements from France about the possibility of training Ukrainian pilots.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov is to discuss these issues with Emmanuel Macron in Paris today.

A little more than two weeks remain until the new meeting of the group on the defense of Ukraine in the Rammstein format.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine promises to use this time to unlock decisions regarding the fighter jets and long-range missiles we need.

Its head, Dmytro Kuleba, emphasized today that he instructed diplomats in key capitals to make achieving this goal a priority.
