In Ivano-Frankivsk, 9-year-old Darinka Perkhulin cut off her braids in order to buy her third stove for the military.

The girl has been volunteering for more than a month and does not even tell her parents what amounts she manages to collect.

At one time, it was they who taught their daughter that charity should be quiet, TSN reports.

Darinka had been waiting for this day since March to cut off her hair, sell it, and donate the money to the Armed Forces.

The young volunteer is unmoved, but the mother does not hide her despair.

She barely persuaded her daughter to wait at least for the first communion in order to go to church with a scythe.

She hoped that she would forget her idea or change her mind, because Darynka's hair had not been cut since birth, only the ends were smoothed.

"For every mother, her daughter's hair is a value, wealth, beauty.

I like to braid it, comb it, and help wash it," the woman says.

Darinka did not forget and did not change her mind.

The girl received 7 thousand hryvnias for her hair.

This is the amount she lacks to buy the third autonomous stove for the front.

"Now is such a difficult time.

I thought that I should help.

Because I'm sitting at home on the phone.

I thought that I want to be a volunteer like dad.

I understand what war is, how innocent children are dying now, how soldiers are dying.

That's why I thought that I should help", - convinces the girl.

"At the beginning of the war, she went to school to weave nets.

And then she saw that a man was coming back from the east, so-and-so was needed, my husband is a volunteer, he travels to the east, drives cars, everything is necessary.

There is not enough money for fuel, clothes, and equipment, and she says: "Mom, can I help with something?" - says the girl's mother.

In fact, Darinka has been volunteering for more than a month.

She sells self-made patriotic boxes with candies and cute souvenirs inside, beaded jewelry, bakes sweet bagels, and started painting by numbers.

He gives everything earned up to a penny to the front.

Mom says: what sums are in question, the daughter remains modestly silent.

"The husband takes some things, there is not enough money, she took it out of the cash register and gave it to her.

She did not report - she just helped.

Because at the first communion she was taught: the left hand should not see what the right hand gives.

She says: "Mom, I want to be a secret volunteer," the woman says.

And he adds that there is not a day that Darinka does not pray for the Ukrainian military.
