Predicting the plans of the occupiers for the coming days or weeks is problematic, but the Russians will not be able to change the course of the war in Ukraine in their favor.

This opinion was expressed by the Russian opposition politician Gennady Gudkov in a commentary on Channel 24.

"Most likely, these will be attempts at further shelling, attacks on the infrastructure, desperate attempts to take Bakhmut, and perhaps they will already be on their way out," he suggested.

According to Hudkov, if Russia had advantages, it would have used them against Ukraine a long time ago.

"It is absolutely clear that Vladimir Putin does not have a window of great opportunity in the war with Ukraine. I predict that he does not even have an apartment, not that there is a window," the Russian oppositionist noted.

The threat of a repeated attack by the Russian Federation

Gudkov believes that the Russian army will not have enough strength to implement a repeated full-scale offensive on all fronts, as Putin demands.

"I think that February will be a month of not very thought-out attacks and operations on the part of the Russian Armed Forces, of attempts to make wishful thinking come true," he said.

According to him, the Russians will traditionally give a small advance of troops for a big victory.

"We all understand very well that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already preparing for the offensive," Gudkov noted and added that the West provides Ukraine with a sufficient number of offensive weapons for this purpose.

We will remind, according to The Times, Russia will announce a new wave of mobilization in the coming weeks.

The newspaper writes that the Kremlin plans to recruit 500,000 troops and launch a new offensive against Ukraine in April.

The ex-commander of the "Azov" regiment Maksym Zhorin believes that in 2023 the Russians are considering three scenarios for the offensive - "either the Kharkiv region, or the Kyiv region, or even the western regions."

Military expert Mykhailo Samus does not rule out that the Russians will attack again on February 24, the anniversary of the invasion.

According to military expert Oleg Zhdanov, it is most likely that the Russians will continue to use all their forces to capture the Donetsk region.

It should be noted that a "meat grinder" is already underway in Donbas.

According to Maksym Zhorin, sometimes in Donbas, the occupiers lose more in a day than the Armed Forces during the counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi reported that there are constant Russian assaults and attempts to break through our defenses in Bakhmutsky, Vugledarsky and other directions in the Donetsk region.

The situation on the Donabs is extremely difficult.
