According to the scriptures, the Chaturthi that falls in the Krishna Paksha of Falgun month is called Sankashti Chaturthi.

There are 2 Chaturthi Tithis every month.

The upcoming Sankashti Chaturthi is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi.

On this day, Lord Ganesha is worshiped with rituals.

It is believed that by worshiping Ganpati Bappa, all troubles can be solved.

On the other hand, the devotees who worship Bappa (Ganesh Puja) with full devotion have special blessings of Bappa and according to belief, Bappa fulfills their every wish.

Ganesh Puja On Sankashti Ganesh Chaturthi 

On the day of Sankashti Chaturthi, along with Lord Ganesha, Mata Chauth is also worshipped.

Sankashti Ganesh Chaturthi is falling on the coming 9th February.

This Chaturthi, which falls in the Falgun month, will begin at 6.23 am and the next day, February 10, will continue till 7.58 am.

It is believed that by doing this, an atmosphere of happiness is created in the house and the sufferings of life also reduce.

Anyone can observe Sankashti Chaturthi Vrat, but there is a special recognition for married women to observe this fast and mostly married women observe this fast for the well-being of the family. 

To worship on this day, one wakes up early in the morning and takes a bath.

After this they offer Arghya to the Sun God and take a vow of fasting.

After this, the person observing the fast decorates the statue or idol of Lord Ganesha with flowers.

After offering roli, sandalwood, flowers and water etc. to Bappa, sesame seeds and modak are offered as bhog.

At the end, Ganesh Aarti and mantra are chanted during worship.
