Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on extending the term of public service of Sergey Ivanov, special representative of the President of the Russian Federation.

APA's Moscow correspondent reports that the relevant document was published on the official legal information internet portal.

"The term of federal civil service of the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for environmental protection, ecology and transport Ivanov Sergey Borisovich should be extended until January 31, 2024," the document stated.

It should be noted that Ivanov, who will turn 70 on January 31, has been in this position since August 2016.

Until now, he has worked as the Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, Minister of Defense, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Administration.
