Barricades and blocking of traffic at the Macedonian border crossing-Deve Bair are not expected on February 4, when the pilgrimage to the monument of Gotse Delchev in Skopje is held, officials of the Bulgarian border crossing-Gyueshevo, who are in constant contact with their colleagues on the other side of the border, told BNR.
If there will be a blockade and stoppage of traffic on the road to Skopje, it will be in the area of Kumanavo county, about 60 kilometers from the border, border officials commented.
Blockades will not be allowed at the Deve Bair border crossing itself by the authorities in North Macedonia. This was also commented on by mayors of municipalities on the other side of the border, who do not expect protests and road blockades.
Moreover, the section from the Deve Bair point to Kriva Palanka is still under repair, which has been going on for months.
Today, in the evening, it is expected that the Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Demerdzhiev, who is on a working meeting in Skopje, will return to the border crossing-Gyueshevo.
The minister is expected to make a statement at the Bulgarian Gyueshevo station on the results of his visit to Skopje.
