The police from the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Razlog conducted several searches in the homes of people around the police officer Simona Luleova, after the sensational arrest of the 25-year-old employee of the 7th metropolitan department, reports Struma.com.

During the searches of several houses, in the village of Banya, Razlog, mobile phones, an electronic scale, necessary for cutting and dosing the drug, were seized.

After the searches, Miroslav K. from the village of Banya was also detained.

What is his relationship with Simona, or persons close to her, will be established by the investigation.

We remind you that Simona Luleova was detained around 2 pm on Saturday, during a check in the trunk of the Volkswagen car, under the spare tire, an envelope with nearly 500 grams of cannabis was found.

Luleova has been charged with possession of cannabis, a crime punishable by up to 6 years in prison and a fine of up to BGN 10,000.

According to her relatives, the cannabis was thrown at her, whether this will turn out to be true will be proven by expertise in the course of the investigation.

The case continues to be clarified.

The cannabis was in not one, but two packages, hidden under the spare tire, the prosecution claims.

After the discovery of the drug, an on-duty prosecutor and investigator went to the scene.

In the case, pre-trial proceedings were initiated for possession of half a kilogram of cannabis.

"At the moment, we have no information from the Ministry of the Interior whether it was the result of operational development, but in my opinion, it is logical that it is exactly so, because the drug was found in the luggage compartment under the spare tire.

She was most likely sure that after identifying herself with her official card, there would be no verification.

She was not drug tested as she refused.

Her stay in custody was extended to 72 hours.

A request will be made in court to determine the most severe measure "detention in custody", said the head of the District Prosecutor's Office - Blagoevgrad Borislav Kovacki.

Simona Luleova started working about 2 years ago in the 7th RU - Sofia in the "Security Police" sector, and is currently a student of "Law" at SSU.

He has a 5-year-old child, and the father of the child has not lived together for several years.

She moved to Sofia together with her twin sister.

They also have a brother who was a DJ.

Their father is the former policeman from the "Transport Police" Ivan Luleov from the village of Banya in Razlog, who 10 years ago shot a thief in self-defense.

The incident with the policeman and two Roma, cable thieves, happened on March 23, 2013 at around 11:30 p.m. The then 49-year-old Luleov worked as a senior policeman in the "Security Police" sector of the Plovdiv division of the Transport Police.

He received a signal that cables had been stolen in the area of ​​the G. Kovachev railway station and went to see what had happened.

He established that two Roma had erected about 70 meters of copper wire, which ensured the safety of cars passing through the nearby crossing.

At the sight of the policeman, one of the thieves, Nikolay Ivanov, pulled out an ax and swung it at the officer.

In the conditions of inevitable defense, Luleov fired once with his pistol and the thief fell dead to the ground.

A case was initially opened against the transport policeman for premeditated murder.

District Court - Blagoevgrad rejected the request of the prosecutor's office to keep him in custody and released him on bail of BGN 5,000. He was then charged with causing death by negligence, and the court acquitted him on three occasions.

The final decision has been made by the Supreme Court since 2017. His court costs of BGN 10,000 were borne by the Ataka party.

After the acquittal, Luleov filed a lawsuit against the prosecutor's office for non-pecuniary damages suffered as a result of the unfounded accusation.

He claimed that he was humiliated in front of society and his relatives, he felt fear and anxiety, he retired prematurely, he was worried about how he would support his three children, he also felt fear of the relatives of the deceased.

Due to the worries experienced, the court ordered that he be compensated with BGN 15,000.
