In the summer of last year in the

Poltava

region, a woman doused her husband's acquaintance with gasoline and set it on fire due to jealousy.

According to the court's decision, the woman was imprisoned for six years.

The suspect will be under house arrest until the verdict becomes final.    

This is stated in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.

According to the case file, on July 2, 2022, the woman came to an acquaintance's house and dropped her husband there.

According to him, he was drinking with his friend and then fell asleep in her apartment.

After what she saw, the woman slapped her chosen one and his lover in the face.

Later, the woman poured gasoline into an empty plastic bottle, came to her husband's mistress, poured it over her face and upper body, and then set it on fire with a match.

As the woman told the court, in this way she just wanted to scare her husband's lover by dousing the blanket and sweater with gasoline.

However, while lighting a cigarette, she dropped a match on the blanket. 

According to the conclusions of medical experts, the victim received 1-3 degree thermal burns with a total area of ​​up to 35% of the body surface, with the development of burn disease.

On July 10, the woman died in the hospital.
