The court chose a preventive measure for him in the form of 60 days of detention, with the possibility of making a bail in the amount of 120 thousand hryvnias.

If the man's guilt is proven in court, he faces seven to nine years in prison.

How evaders try to escape abroad

The State Security Service periodically reports how some conscripted Ukrainians illegally try to cross the border and flee to other countries. 

Last weekend at the border with Hungary, a evasive man pretending to be a woman was detained.

The man was dressed in women's clothes and even painted his nails.

Recently, 14 evaders were detained in Bukovina, who tried to escape to Romania through dangerous mountain paths.

In Odesa, a evader who tried to escape to Moldova fell into a three-meter ditch.

He had to call the border guards for help.

In Transcarpathia, 20 men of military age who tried to escape from Ukraine were stopped.

One was with a rubber boat.

In Lviv Oblast, the evader bought fake birth certificates for children.

When the border guards detained the "father of many children", he could not name the dates of birth of any of "his" children.
