The expressway being built between Delhi and Mumbai is 1390 km long.

New Delhi :

PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Sohna-Dausa section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway on Saturday, February 4.

After this, the journey between the country's capital Delhi and Rajasthan's capital Jaipur will be completed in just about two hours.

Tell me, the expressway being built between Delhi and Mumbai is 1390 km long, due to which the journey between Delhi and Mumbai will be completed in just 12 hours instead of 24.

This expressway is expected to be completed by March next year.

It is an eight-lane expressway which can be extended to 12 lanes.

It will reach Maharashtra via Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat.

Significantly, before this, PM Modi had inaugurated the Bundelkhand Expressway in July last year.

The work of this expressway has been completed within 28 months.

The four-lane expressway has been constructed under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) at a cost of about Rs 14,850 crore and can be further expanded to six lanes.

This expressway extends from National Highway-35 at Gonda village near Bharatkup in Chitrakoot district to Kudrail village in Etawah district, where it merges with the Agra-Lucknow Expressway.

This expressway passes through seven districts ie Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Auraiya and Etawah.
