A student pulled out a gun at the 9th French language high school in Sofia.

No one was hurt, but how did this happen and what happens next?

Shortly after what happened on Thursday last week, the classmates in the 12th grade came out with an official position in which they accuse the school management for not taking the necessary measures after numerous reports and complaints against the student in question.

The boy who pulled out a gun in class was aggressive

"He was sitting on the first row and discreetly started loading his gas pistol, until the students who were sitting behind him did not notice what was happening.

They have become extremely concerned given his behavior over the years.

They left the room and first looked for a psychologist, and then the deputy director.

There was a student in the classroom who happened to take a course on negotiating with terrorists, and he knew how to react and what to do," a student told the bTV camera, who asked to remain anonymous.

"Later it turned out that the boy with the gun wanted to go to Gorna Banya to practice shooting.

The moment they caught him, they negotiated with him to hand over his weapon.

He denied having one until his backpack was taken.

This person was never calm and showed aggression towards everyone.

Counseling was also held for him, after which he was not transferred or expelled from the school," the student added, specifying that the aggressive boy had to switch to an online form of education.

However, this happened for two weeks, and then the boy returned to class.

According to his classmates, this was due to his parents' connections.

"We have seen this boy with knives and boxing gloves at school, but no one noticed him.

If someone else were in his place, I'm sure he would have been expelled," added the student.

"He was always raging and wanted to fight with classmates who had done nothing to him.

I hope I don't see him in class again.

We won't be calm if he comes to our ball too.

I'm afraid, you don't know what he will do at some point," said the boy's classmate.

Vice-principal: The story I heard is more the result of the emotional reactions of the students

"The narrative I heard is more of the emotional reactions of the students.

But what happened?

Two students came to my office and said that the student in question was playing with cartridges.

I immediately informed the director, who triggered the procedure to call where necessary," explained Roselina Naydenova, deputy director of "Educational Activities" at the high school, who was also a direct witness of the situation from Thursday.

"In the meantime, the students have met our pedagogical advisor and said there is a situation and the specialist has gone into the classroom.

Boyan was there with a closed backpack and a notebook on the counter, he was asked to leave, after which he came to my office.

I asked the student what he was doing and his reaction was "What have I done again?".

He explained to me that he was playing with plastic balls.

I asked to see them and he showed them to me.

They turned out to be metal because they were quite heavy.

He then told me that they were for filler, which he also showed me.

I asked him if he had a gun.

I asked him to show it.

The weapon is not a gas gun as advertised, but a pneumatic one with cartridges.

Together with the student, we went down to the guard, where we left his backpack for safekeeping.

After 5 minutes, the police came and investigated.

The student said he did not threaten anyone,

She explained that access to the school is by card, and bulky items brought in are checked.

"This student has had sanctions over the years - for absences, for behavior.

Communication with his family is very difficult.

A few months ago he received a notice to move due to absences.

He was never sanctioned with a transfer to another school.

We assessed his behavior and psychological state and sought communication with the family," said Rozelina Naydenova.

"The student's parents did not put pressure on the school," she also pointed out.

On January 31, a pedagogical council will be held about what happened.
