British Defense Minister Ben Wallace said that on the eve of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, he met with Shoigu and Gerasimov.
The leaders of the occupation army of the Russian Federation lied that they were not planning a full-scale invasion.
This is reported by BBC News.
Ben Wallace recalled his conversations with the Russian leaders of the occupation army - Shoigu and Gerasimov.
In conversations, they tried to demonstrate strength, talked about the "power of Russia" and lied that there would be no war.
"I'm going to lie to you, you know I'm lying, and I know you know I'm lying, and I'm still going to lie to you," Wallace recalled.
The head of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, Gerasimov, also stated that allegedly "we (Russia - ed.) will never be humiliated again."
Ben Wallace noted that even then he was convinced that there would be a war.
Russia's war against Ukraine
On February 24, 2022, the Russian invaders began a full-scale invasion of the territory of Ukraine.
The invaders wanted to capture Kyiv "in three days" and establish a puppet regime in Ukraine.
The terrorists planned to kill those who disagreed with this.
On the same day, Russian dictator Putin announced the so-called "special military operation".
Putin demanded that the Armed Forces lay down their weapons and declared that "it will be easier for him to negotiate with the Ukrainians" than with the legitimate authorities.
As of January 30, 2023, 126,650 occupiers were eliminated, 3,210 tanks, 293 airplanes, and 284 helicopters were destroyed.
