The General Assembly of the Cuban Olympic Committee (COC) met this Saturday at the Cerro Pelado High Performance Athlete Training School

.

The important annual meeting, led by Roberto León Richards, head of the COC, was attended by the president of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (Inder), Osvaldo Vento Montiller, and the 1980 Moscow Olympic champion, María Caridad Colón, a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

The members of the COC executive and the presidents of the national federations analyzed important issues of the Cuban Olympic movement, with emphasis on the multi-sport commitments faced in 2022 and those expected in 2023.

The meeting praised the results achieved in the I Caribbean Games of Guadeloupe 2022 and in the I Central American and Caribbean Games of the Sea and Beach of Santa Marta 2022

the preparation of the Cuban delegations

for the V Alba Games, the Bogotá 2023 Youth Parapan American Games, the San Salvador 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games, the Bali 2023 World Sea and Beach Games, and the Pan American Games were examined.
