Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador to
Germany
Andrii Melnyk calls on Berlin to hand over the submarine to Ukraine.
Melnyk wrote about this on Twitter.
According to him, the German company ThyssenKrupp produces one of the best submarines in the world, the HDW Class 212A.
Melnyk clarified that the Bundeswehr has six such submarines.
"Germany (ThyssenKrupp) produces one of the best HDW Class 212A submarines in the world. The Bundeswehr has 6 such submarines. Why not send them to Ukraine? Then we drove the Russian fleet out of the Black Sea," said the message of the Ukrainian diplomat, who called this is a creative idea and expressed the opinion that after this he will "get another hell of a storm".
We will remind, the head of the United Press Center of the Defense Forces of the South, Nataliya Gumenyuk, said that the
Russian military keeps two large amphibious ships on duty at sea.
Currently, "it's just a show of force" - the landing of a Russian amphibious assault on the Black Sea coast is unlikely.
Instead, as of January 29, the Russian Federation took 16 enemy ships into the Black Sea, among them three missile carriers with 20 Calibers on board.
Earlier it was reported that Germany
sent IRIS-T missiles and non-combat equipment to Ukraine.
And on January 25, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced the decision to transfer
14 of its Leopard 2
tanks to Ukraine. Germany also gave permission to other states to transfer these German tanks to Ukraine.
