The most powerful tanks in the world - the American Abrams and the German Leopard, which will soon be delivered to the Armed Forces, will enable the Ukrainian defenders to get an "iron fist" and go on the offensive. 

This opinion was expressed by a military expert, volunteer Pavlo Narozhny, FREEDOM informs.

"The 320 tanks promised to us are two full tank brigades, and this will categorically

. Now we have five tank brigades on old Soviet tanks. They are modernized, but this is still a Soviet approach to the tank business. With the addition of two new ones, or if some two existing brigades are transferred to Western tanks, we will get a very strong iron fist, let's say. And with this fist, we will be able to conduct an offensive," the expert believes.

Narozhny explained how Western-made tanks differ from Soviet ones.

"What we have, what the Russians have, all the tanks that they have, is the legacy of the Soviet line. Leopard, for example, is known for destroying a target on the battlefield with the first shot, and a Soviet tank needs two to four shots because of what they have it's much worse with rangefinders and ballistic calculators," the expert noted.

According to him, the fighting style of Western and Soviet tanks is also fundamentally different.

Narozhny emphasized that it is much more difficult to destroy a Western tank than a Soviet one.

"The task of a Soviet tank is to go to the battlefield, fire 5-10 shots, and then die heroically. And the Western ones are much more durable, and their fighting style is more

sitting in an ambush, a sniper who looks its target from a long distance, shoots and moves to another position to destroy the next target. That is, it is a completely different tank. It is extremely difficult to destroy. Even with the most modern methods, thanks to multi-layered armor, computer systems, active protection, etc. So when we will have them in our hands, then we will

It will be recalled that the Minister of Defense of Germany Boris Pistorius said that Leopard 2 tanks from Germany can be delivered to Ukraine in about three months.

In addition, Ukraine will receive 31 American Abrams heavy tanks.

Poland said it was ready to send its own Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. Portugal said it could provide four Leopard 2s, and Norway said it could send eight more.
