Energy supplier Yasno said that electricity consumption is currently down slightly, a sign of the weekend.

Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk region remain in the schedules.

On January 29, the limits for Kyiv are 955 MW per day and 669 MW at night, and for Dnipropetrovsk region - 1159 MW during the day and 1208 MW at night.

Also, Yasno CEO Serhii Kovalenko explained on Facebook why the amounts of electricity payments in consumer receipts are increasing, if there is almost no supply.

Kovalenko gave several reasons for the increase in bills for electricity consumption.

"First of all: it is a matter of delayed or increased consumption of electricity after the supply is restored.

When the light is on, everything is turned on in the sockets - phone chargers, power banks, boilers, washing machines, vacuum cleaners. There is a sharp jump in consumption. On the one hand, such a load can cause an accident, leaving residents without power again. On the other hand, this way can compensate for the amount of electricity that was saved during the outage. Therefore, at the end of the month, the customer uses the same amount of electricity as in periods when the outages did not apply ", - noted the general director.

He also explained that consumers should turn off the lights altogether.

"Now consumption at a specific moment in time is important. Because specific amounts of electricity are produced that cannot be exceeded," he noted.

The second reason for the increase in electricity bills is meter readings.

According to Kovalenko, indicators are transmitted irregularly or late.

"If the readings are submitted on time, the amount will be indicated in the bill only for the actual consumption. If the readings are submitted late, the amount of electricity consumed by the customer is determined by the average daily consumption. It is calculated depending on the readings recorded earlier, in past periods," explained Kovalenko

That is why, even if due to a power outage, consumption in general decreased for the month.

But for those reporting on time, actual consumption has now decreased.

"That's why it's important now: to use electricity wisely, to submit readings on time and to pay regularly for the amounts consumed," Kovalenko added.

We should add that there

is still a deficit in the energy system

of Ukraine .

The most difficult situation is in Odesa region.

There, due to significant damage, the restoration of the planned power scheme takes more time than before.
