Gorakhpur:

In Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur district, the news of a 70-year-old man marrying his 28-year-old daughter-in-law is making headlines.

This marriage has also become a topic of discussion on social media.

Kailash Yadav (70), the watchman of Barhalganj police station, is a resident of Chhapia Umrao village in this area.

Five days ago he married his widowed daughter-in-law Pooja in a temple.

Pooja is just 28 years old and has been living with her father-in-law since her husband's death four years ago.

Pooja is 42 years younger than Kailash, but she has married him of her own free will.

Barhalganj police station has confirmed that no complaint has been lodged from either side regarding this unique marriage.

According to the police, Kailash had three sons, of whom Pooja's husband was the youngest.

His elder son also lives in Chhapia Umrao village, while the other son cooks food for Barhalganj police station.

According to the locals, since Pooja's husband died shortly after their marriage, she has no children and Kailash's wife passed away 12 years ago.

He told that for the last few months some people were showing interest in marrying Pooja, but Kailash himself proposed marriage to her, after which both of them went to a temple and got married.
