The Electric Union predicts that, if the forecast conditions are maintained, this Saturday there will be no affectations to the service due to a deficit in generation capacity.

Yesterday the service was affected from 5:47 p.m. to 7:05 p.m. (1 hour and 18 minutes) from Sancti Spíritus to Guantánamo with a maximum of 87 MW, due to high transfers to the central-eastern zone, due to to the low availability of thermal generation and fuel limitations in distributed generation in this area.

The availability of the SEN at 07:00 hours was 2,450 MW and the demand 1,800 MW, with the entire system with service, it is estimated that the service will not be affected during the daytime.

Units 6 and 7 of the Mariel CTE, unit 1 of the Santa Cruz CTE, unit 4 of the Nuevitas CTE and unit 2 of the Felton CTE are out of service due to breakdown.

Unit 8 of the CTE Mariel, unit 2 of the CTE Santa Cruz, unit 6 of the CTE Nuevitas and units 4 and 6 of the CTE Renté are under maintenance.

The limitations on thermal generation (315 MW) are maintained and in distributed generation 775 MW are unavailable due to failure and 450 MW under maintenance.

For peak hours, the entry of unit 1 of the CTE Santa Cruz with 80 MW, unit 6 of the CTE Nuevitas with 110 MW, the completion of unit 6 of Energas Boca de Jaruco with 30 MW, and the entry of of 229 MW in diesel engines.

With this forecast, an availability of 2,959 MW and a maximum demand of 2,750 MW are estimated for the peak hour, for a reserve of 209 MW, so that if the forecast conditions are maintained, no affectation to the service is forecast on the day of today.
