The armed forces of Ukraine are advancing in the direction of Kreminnaya, and are also repelling Russian attacks near Bakhmut.

This is stated in a report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

According to experts, defenders of Ukraine resumed the counteroffensive in the Kreminnaya area.

In addition, the Russians are very afraid of the offensive of the Armed Forces in the Zaporozhye direction.

"Russian sources claimed that Ukrainian forces resumed counteroffensive operations in the Kreminnaya region on January 26. A Russian blogger claimed that Ukrainian forces launched offensive operations against the positions of the 144th Motorized Rifle Division (20th Combined Arms Army, Western Military District) in the Kreminnaya region overnight against January 25," the report says.

Active fighting continues in the Donetsk direction.

The Russians could not capture Ugledar.

In addition, the Armed Forces repel the attacks of the occupiers near Bakhmut.

"On January 26, Ukrainian officials reported that Russian forces in the Zaporizhzhia region are not conducting offensive operations of the size or scale necessary for a full-scale offensive... The head of the United Ukrainian Press Center of the Defense Forces of the Tavria Region, Yevhen Erin, said that Russian forces are not assembled a sufficiently powerful strike group to conduct an offensive in the Zaporizhzhia direction, but warned that Russian troops had somewhat increased their presence in the Zaporizhzhia region," ISW recalled.

Earlier, the head of the Luhansk OVA, Serhii Gaidai, noted that the

Russians are "squatting" in the direction of Kreminnaya,

so they are bringing even more mobilized and "Wagnerian" prisoners there.

After the de-occupation of Kreminnaya

, the way to other large cities of the Luhansk

region - Severodonetsk and Lysychansk - opens up.

According to Gaidai, the advance of the Ukrainian military in this direction will help defeat the enemy group that is advancing on Bakhmut.
