Yesterday, January 26, the occupiers launched a massive shelling of Ukraine.

"Daggers" were among the downed missiles.

Such a statement was made by the spokesman of the command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Yuriy Ignat, on the air of the telethon "Edyny Novyny".

There are not so many "daggers".

This is a weapon that Putin was very proud of, calling this missile hypersonic.

But they are trivially few, so the Russians save them for defeating the most important targets for them.

This is their strategic goal - to leave people, some district in the capital without electricity," he said.

According to the spokesman, it is almost impossible to shoot down such a missile due to the fact that there are no means to shoot down such extremely high-speed objects.

Note that "Dagger" is a missile that flies along a ballistic trajectory.

"That is, the MiG-31 fighter jet delivers it to the upper layers of the atmosphere, launches it there, and it already flies, approaches the target and descends on it with great speed," Ignat said.

He added that an Kh-55 missile with a simulator of a nuclear warhead was shot down near Kyiv on Thursday.

In his opinion, it is used to disperse our air defense.

"It can also be used as a false target.

So that we spend even missiles on them," he said.

Kyiv always remains a center of attacks for Russians, the spokesperson is convinced.

"For the enemy, this is a priority target - the capital itself, its critical infrastructure," he concluded.
