Russian president-dictator Vladimir Putin has no trump card up his sleeve, and the Russian Federation's threats about its "high-precision weapons and equipment" have no basis.
Russian opposition journalist Michael Naki told
Kanal 24
this opinion .
According to him, there are no secret weapons in Russia, but there are two specific advantages.
This is
mobilization or any other decision.
"At the beginning of January, the Russian leadership understood that a lot of Western equipment and weapons would arrive in Ukraine. A counteroffensive is expected in the spring, for which the Kremlin has been preparing for some time," he said.
The journalist assumes that
Putin's plan
is for the Russian army to distract the Ukrainian army from preparing for a counteroffensive.
"Russia's plan in the military aspect now looks like this: to draw back the Ukrainian army, interfere with preparations for the offensive and try to take more successful positions before the future Ukrainian offensive," Naki believes.
The threat of a new offensive by Russia
The Kremlin is preparing for a new attack on Ukraine.
Despite the heavy losses, Putin is confident that his occupying forces can regain the initiative after months of losing ground.
The Russian leadership continues mobilization measures on the territory of its country, as well as on the occupied Ukrainian territory.
According to the General Staff, in the temporarily annexed Crimea, Russia is conducting preparatory measures for the next wave of mobilization.
The next one is scheduled for the end of February.
Meanwhile, the Pentagon believes that the next few months could be decisive for Ukraine in the war unleashed by Russia.
