The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the treacherous attack on the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tehran, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which resulted in the death of the head of the embassy's security service and the wounding of two people.

The General Secretariat calls for the perpetrators of the terrible attack to be brought to justice and emphasizes the need to ensure the security of diplomatic missions.

"The Secretary General of the OIC expresses his solidarity with the government and people of Azerbaijan, expresses his condolences to the family of the deceased and wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured," the statement said.
