According to Ukrainian intelligence, the Belarusian army does not take part in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine, but theoretically Belarusians can fight as part of the occupying forces as mercenaries.

Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, announced this on the air of a single telethon.

"There are no ground troops of Belarus on the territory of Ukraine that participate in a full-scale invasion by the Rashists. Theoretically, we cannot rule out the presence of various types of mercenaries from different countries of the world," he said.

Yusov noted that intelligence records cases of participation of foreign mercenaries in the occupation forces.

"But the Belarusian army, together with the regular troops of the Rashists, is not participating now," the intelligence officer concluded.

We will remind that, according to the General Staff, there are currently 10,000 to 30,000 mobilized Russians training in Belarus.

The other day it became known that the joint exercises of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation in Belarus have been extended until at least February 6.
