In Buryatia, the court fined 40-year-old local resident Denys Silakov 15,000 rubles allegedly for "discrediting the military."

This was reported by the Russian publication "Mediazon" with reference to the court's website.

It is noted that the judge found a resident of the village of Kabansk guilty of having written the words "No war" with "green aerosol paint" on the wall of "one of the children's institutions."

The court decided that the suspect "by his actions undermined confidence in the conduct of a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine."

The man admitted his guilt and did repent.

Since the "offender" is an unemployed father of two minor children, he was fined half the minimum 30,000 rubles stipulated in the article on "discrediting" the army.
