It should be determined who carried out the treacherous attack against the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran.

I invite Iran to take responsibility.

Hulusi Kılıç, the former ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan, said this to APA's Istanbul correspondent.

He pointed out that recently Iran is worried about the successes achieved by Azerbaijan.

"You can see that Iran is worried after Azerbaijan's victory in the 44-day war.

I don't understand why this success worries Iran.

"Military exercises on the border with Azerbaijan, their reaction to President Erdogan's poem in Baku, the desire to conduct joint exercises with Armenia, the opening of a consulate in Armenia, as well as the disgusting statements made against Azerbaijan, worry both Azerbaijan and Turkey," he said.

The ambassador also emphasized the importance of Iran knowing that Azerbaijan and Turkey are "one nation, one state" with the Shusha declaration.

"We consider every attack against Azerbaijan as an attack against Turkey.

The embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran is our joint embassy.

We want the perpetrators of this heinous attack to be quickly identified."

Hulusi Kılıç also expressed his condolences to the people of Azerbaijan and the family of the murdered employee of the embassy, Orkhan Askerov, in connection with the attack.
