Germany has updated the list of military aid transferred to Ukraine.

The updated package includes ammunition for IRIS-T air defense systems.

This was reported on Friday, January 27, on the website of the German government.

The new package of military aid included:

  • IRIS-T SLM missiles;

  • 13 trucks;

  • 2 forklifts 15t;

  • 12 road trains and four semi-trailers;

  • 12 patrol cars;

  • 2 pickups to 143 delivered earlier.

Berlin also officially confirmed that they plan to transfer to Ukraine:

  • 14 Leopard 2A6 main battle tanks with ammunition;

  • 2 Bergepanzer 3 armored repair and evacuation vehicles;

  • 2 air surveillance radars;

  • 78 tractors and 86 semi-trailers (previously: 14 tractors and 14 semi-trailers).

For security reasons, Berlin refrains from providing detailed information on the methods and dates of transportation until the time of transfer.

It will be recalled that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, expressed his gratitude to the Western partners for their intention to transfer heavy armored vehicles to the Ukrainian armed forces to counter Russian aggression.

At the same time, the Ukrainian leader emphasized the crucial importance of the number of tanks and the terms when they can be delivered to Ukraine.
