The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Mevlut Cavusoglu, called the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and strongly condemned the treacherous terrorist attack against the embassy of our country in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to the information given to APA by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he conveyed his condolences to the family of the deceased and the people of Azerbaijan for the employee of the embassy who lost his life as a result of the incident.

Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu emphasized that Azerbaijan is not alone, Turkey is always with brother Azerbaijan.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey for these wishes of brotherhood and solidarity, and said that the Azerbaijani side will do everything in its power to make the perpetrators and patrons of treacherous terrorism answer to justice as soon as possible.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlud Çavuşoğlu called Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

APA reports with reference to NTV that Cavusoglu condemned the armed attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran.

He expressed his condolences to Azerbaijan.

The minister said the following in his post on Twitter:

"I curse the treacherous attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran.

I wish God's mercy to our martyred brother, condolences to his relatives and the people of Azerbaijan, and speedy recovery to the wounded.

"Azerbaijan is never alone."

It should be recalled that today at 8:30 am Baku time there was an armed attack on the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The assailant attacked the security post with a Kalashnikov automatic weapon, killed the head of the security service, and injured two security officers of the embassy.
