Many comments were raised in

Cubadebate

by the published works on the distribution of products in chain stores and their organization to market the so-called modules that have been on sale since last December in Havana.

To clarify some of the concerns of the population on the subject,

Cubadebate

interviewed Yamilé Álvarez Trejo, head of the commercial department of Tiendas Caribe.

This chain of stores is in charge of providing the modules to 351,858 nuclei belonging to all the municipalities of the capital.

"To organize all this work, they created a computer system that would make operations transparent and centralize distribution."

How does the system work?

“When any of the five products that make up the module enters the country, it automatically becomes nuclei.

Based on mathematical formulas, the system is in charge of dividing the quantity of products to inform how many nuclei can be supplied”, he indicated.

Álvarez Trejo said that together with the Havana Provincial Directorate of Commerce they were in charge of reviewing the consumer registry to corroborate the real nuclei that exist in the province.

There were people who had more than one notebook, who died more than five years ago and who were still listed as consumers, other cases who had left the country”

, he exemplified.

Before adopting this measure -he said- the only control mechanism was the torpedo and this was carried by an agent outside the commercial unit and who was not subordinated to the Chain.

"From the assurance that we were giving to a point of sale, we did not have a counterpart to know the level of satisfaction of the population":

He added that

the counterparty control, a mechanism with which it currently operates, allows for better organization.

"For example, if a store has to satisfy 10,000 cores, it will receive products only to satisfy that quantity and it will be sent stratified according to the compositions of those cores."

The head of the commercial department of Tiendas Caribe considered that this system is fairer, in terms of the distribution of the products and allows the elimination of all kinds of illegalities from the store worker or the queue facilitators and others involved in the process.

"This measure is positive, since previously, there were situations of misappropriation and lack of control with the LCC, since some used that position to resell products and commit illegalities."

Another peculiarity of this distribution system is the invoice.

“The invoice is no longer only in quantity of products or by kilograms, but also by cores.

Thus the system generates a level of satisfaction.

When it reaches one hundred percent, it means that all the cores in that store have been bought and the store cannot claim that a module is missing.

In that case, Álvarez Trejo clarified,

the sales records of the store and the torpedo can be audited to find out where the irregularity is.

“The system is focused on satisfying the number of nuclei we serve with these five products, not on controlling the queues.

I consider that minimizing queues is a consequence of the organization”.

A change in the distribution philosophy has also been an advantage for the customer.

The head of the commercial department of Tiendas Caribe said that several products are being concentrated in the stores and it is distributed according to the municipalities, so the population can purchase more than one product at once, sometimes up to five”.

“It can happen that the store has excess merchandise, but they cannot sell it.

It stays in stock and is used for the second round,” he explained.

Each territory has imposed some regulations according to local characteristics, but there are others that must be homogeneous to guarantee a good service,

he indicated, adding that people should be allowed to buy more than one booklet, if it is their turn during the day, since There are elderly and vulnerable people who need the support of their relatives and neighbors, as well as some workers who cannot buy because of their work schedules.

Likewise, he pointed out that messengers are allowed to buy the products of their clients.

Regarding the incident of the sale of chicken in a school, he clarified that the Caribe Store Chain was in charge of supporting the distribution in the municipality of 10 de Octubre and asked the government of the territory to enable the places to carry out the sale.

"Exceptionally, this sale was made so that people could purchase the product, since there was a delay in distribution."
