On January 26, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held another meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and heard reports on the situation at the front.

This was reported in the Office of the President.

Thus, at the meeting, the commanders of the troops of the operational directions reported on the state of affairs at the front, the situation in the Bakhmut direction

was discussed in detail .

The participants also discussed issues related to the

, equipment and its operational distribution among military groups.

Particular attention was paid to the training of Ukrainian fighters abroad.

They also talked about eliminating the consequences of a new

 Russian missile attack on the territory of Ukraine and measures to counter such threats in the future.

We will remind, on January 26, Russia staged another massive missile attack on Ukraine, which was preceded by a night attack by drones.

The enemy fired 55 missiles, of which 47 were shot down by air defense forces.

The energy infrastructure in Odesa and Vinnytsia, as well as the homes of peaceful Ukrainians, came under attack.

As a result of the Russian attack, 11 people were killed and the same number were injured.

As for the situation at the front, the General Staff of the Armed Forces informed that the Russians continue their offensive in the Bakhmut and Novopavliv directions, despite heavy losses.

The enemy unsuccessfully tried to improve his tactical position on the Lymansky and Avdiivskyi directions.

In the rest of the directions, Russian troops are on the defensive.
