The section of the front around Bakhmut remains one of the most difficult.

The city is bombarded 24 hours a day by enemy artillery, tanks and mortars fire.

In the north, from the east and in the southern suburbs, street, shooting battles break out at very close distances.

The attacks of the Russians are jointly repulsed by the servicemen of the Armed Forces, the National Guard, fighters of territorial defense battalions and special forces, TSN reports.

"However, the activity does not decrease, almost all the time, there is constant shelling.

It's hard to say more or less all the time," the fighters say.

Moving through the city, and especially in its north, in the eastern part and along the southern outskirts, is, in fact, forward movement, so you need to move with the maximum possible speed.

What a street fight sounds like becomes clear as soon as you leave the city center.

"The extreme huts are already the enemy, it's less than a kilometer away," the fighters state.

The outskirts of Bakhmut, the exit in the direction of Horlivka - this is one of the areas where very fierce infantry battles take place at minimal distances.

"This is the place where the enemy was able to enter the city and these are the first buildings, the first streets of Bakhmut, where contact battles are taking place, trying to hold back the enemy," the military said.

From one house to another, between solid ruins, you can only go through a trench that passes through the gardens and courtyards of the once peaceful neighborhood of Bakhmut.

"Now we need to quickly go to the houses.

The enemy is also there on the heights, and a sniper is working in this area," the fighters say.

In this area of the city's defense, the "Charter" volunteers, one of the battalions of the 127th Kharkiv Territorial Defense Brigade, are holding back the enemy onslaught.

"The situation, of course, is difficult.

There are intense battles, the enemy is trying to advance, constantly.

Makes infantry assaults in small groups.

Constantly pressing!

But our fighters are trying to hold their positions, well - as much as possible", - says a fighter of the "Charter" volunteer unit, 127th brigade of TRO "Nick".

Between the battered, but still suitable for observation and defense, buildings, powerful explosions are heard all the time.

One dilapidated house in the eastern part of Bakhmut has turned into one of the many advanced fortresses of the city's defenses.

"Mortars and tanks work the most from the side of the enemy.

T-90 are working.

And, of course, shooting battles, because private buildings start there.

The first buildings of Bakhmut and this is where the battles take place.

There is a building on the other side, the enemy is there too.

This is Opytne, which the enemy has already occupied.

The Muscovite infantry does not go on the offensive here - in ranks.

A rush of small groups, I would say so.

That is, these are small harassing groups, but they go day and night.

And, I don't know, almost there, every 2-4 hours.

At least 3-4!

Three or four waves are coming!", the boys say.

In order to hold positions and prevent a breakthrough of the common line of defense, our defenders at ground zero use the entire arsenal of infantry weapons.

"There are more close combats here.

"Guys on the front line are working with assault rifles, machine guns, and grenade launchers," the fighters say.

From a distance, mortars help the Ukrainian infantry many times a day.

"We worked most intensively at night - four times," they say.

Night, our defenders admit, is a special time, especially for aerial scouts with gunners.

"All events at night are reflected in events during the day.

We already understand what will happen in the afternoon.

Will there be assaults or displacement.

All this can already be seen at night," says a fighter of the "Charter" volunteer unit, 127th brigade of the "Lego" TRO.

So that during the day, there were fewer enemy attacks, throughout the night "Lego" sits at the remote control of his all-seeing copter.

As soon as aerial scouts notice a movement or a gathering of enemy infantry, Ukrainian long-range artillerymen join the case.

In fact, the joint night work of the "Charter" aerial scouts with the gunners of the Armed Forces is more like a team computer game.

"Here they are very pleasant and easy to destroy!

All that needs to be done: fire system - proper organization, communication, management!

And that's all!

We understand that they climb.

Maybe they know a little better about fighting in the city.

But we are also learning", - assures a fighter of the volunteer unit "Chartiya", 127 brigade of TRO "Timur".

The fighters here are certain: for the enemy, Bakhmut is the gate through which the enemy seeks to seize the entire Donbas.

They are pushing for Bakhmut, they want to, because their leadership's task is to capture the entire Donbas.

And you can't capture all of Donbas without Bakhmut," says Vsevolod Kozhemyako, commander of the "Charter" volunteer unit, 127th TRO brigade.

Having experienced the liberation of Kharkiv Oblast, very intense confrontations with the enemy on the border with Luhansk Oblast, the "Charter" fighters do not hide that it will be more difficult to keep Bakhmut.

Instead, they are convinced: one very effective algorithm will be able to ensure both a local and later a big victory.

"We need to get angry and kill," the fighters say.
