"This package, which we announced, is partly aimed at purchasing new tanks for Ukraine," said a representative of the US Department of Defense.

However, he cannot now outline the time frame when the Abrams M1 will appear in Ukraine.

He said, it is not about weeks, but about months.

But at the same time, the representative of the Pentagon reacted to the remarks that appeared in the media about the seemingly small number of American tanks for Ukraine.

"I do not think that the battalion of Abrams tanks is symbolic for Ukraine.

These are real capabilities that will certainly provide Ukraine with an advantage on the battlefield," Singh summarized.
