The United States has recognized the Wagner PMC as a transnational criminal organization.

This was reported by the US Treasury Department.

According to US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, the new sanctions will further damage Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's ability to support the Russian military.

"As sanctions and export controls against Russia imposed by an international coalition continue to cause trouble, the Kremlin is desperate for weapons and support — particularly through the brutal Wagner group — to continue its unjust war against Ukraine. Today's expanded sanctions against PVK Wagner, as well as new sanctions against their partners and other companies that contribute to the Russian military complex will further hamper Putin's ability to arm and equip his military machine," Yellen said.

The agency emphasized that the Wagner PKK is responsible for attacks, violence, kidnapping and forced displacement of people, attacks on schools, hospitals, religious places or places where civilians seek refuge.

It will be recalled that the Wagner cemetery in Russia has grown almost sevenfold.

The losses of "Wagner" in Russia's war against Ukraine are counted in the thousands.

At the same time, the adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine,

Mykhailo Podolyak

, claims that the "Wagner" PMC has already lost 77% of the nearly 40,000 prisoners recruited in the colonies killed and wounded.
