The US Department of Defense believes that the next few months may be decisive for Ukraine in the war started by Russia.

This was stated by Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Celeste Wallander at a hearing in the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US Senate.

"What happens over the next few months could be decisive. And we are concentrating on providing Ukraine with the military funds it needs to protect its people and territory," Wolander said.

She also emphasized that the US government does not see any signs that could indicate the redirection of American weapons outside the borders of Ukraine.

"The American government has not seen any credible evidence of any diversion of weapons provided by the United States outside of Ukraine," Wallander assured.
