"Wrote a complaint against the police, and the hunt began for me"

Vitaly Zhuk

, a resident of Kobryn

, shows the documents and claims that the police had no reason to place him in a medical and labor ward.

In one of the documents it is written that he is being sent to the LPP for isolation and "social reintegration".

"There was a long-standing conflict with the local police.

I have written complaints against them for false report.

They started "hunting" for me.

It is very easy to make three administrative reports per person.

I was watched when I was at a friend's birthday party and when I was coming back from City Day.

And the second time I was detained by the same policemen against whom I complained.

Plus, my participation in political events in 2020 had an impact.

This year 2020 gave complete carte blanche to policemen.

So, in 2021, I ended up in the prophylactic hospital," says Vital.

He claims that each precinct has a "plan" for the number of people to be placed in the LPP.

"I talked to police officers.

They have both standards for detentions, reports drawn up, and the number of those they need to send to the LPP.

Because if you don't refer anyone, you are a good precinct officer, you don't do your duty.

That's why there are enough people in the preventive clinic who got there through two protocols.

Even those who crossed the road incorrectly," says the Belarusian.

"It was even worse in the LPP than in the colony"

Vitaly says that he got into the LPP in February 2021.

He had to serve a year there.

"But, running ahead, I will say that I served there for six and a half months.

Because I got so fed up with the head of the LPP that he asked the policemen to remove me from the prophylaxis.

Because I "poked my nose everywhere", wrote complaints, defended my rights," explains the former political prisoner.

Vitaly says that he was immediately quarantined at the preventive clinic.

"Its distinctiveness is that it was very cold there.

I never took off my jacket, I slept in it.

I really don't know what the quarantine was invented for.

Maybe to break a person's will.

After all, the employees "prepared" us in quarantine for the LPP: "You are monkeys, you are animals, you are nobody!"

You are finished, we will destroy you here, no one needs you!

Look at yourself in the mirror!".

There were such insults every day," says Vital.

He says that there was no warm water either in the quarantine or later in the unit, only cold water came from the tap.

At the same time, the guards and the administration always required the prisoners to be shaved.

Vitaliy was impressed by the dishes and lack of hygiene in the canteen of the LPP.

"Old, aluminum dishes were brought to the canteen in dirty potato sacks.

After eating, you had to wash it under that ice water and then shake the bowl in a tub of chlorine.

Then the dishes were thrown back into that dirty bag and given out for the next meal.

The bowls were dirty, greasy.

It was disgusting to pick them up," says Vital.

He adds that the food at the LPP was "nothing".

"Some kind of porridge, or mashed potatoes in water, cabbage soup, where not meat floats, but some veins, like threads.

You don't even know who the meat is from.

True, when there were checks, they put a scale in the canteen and even put a piece of real beef in a portion of food.

But after the inspection, they removed it all," says Vital.

"The psychologist asked me: 'What do you not like about the country?'"

Vitaly insists that there is no treatment for both alcoholism and other diseases at the preventive clinic.

"A psychologist talked to me.

So called.

For an hour and a half, he proved to me that only drug addicts, prostitutes and alcoholics participate in all revolutions.

As Lukashenko said in 2020.

He kept asking: "Why don't you like our country?"

Why don't you like our free medicine, education?".

The fact is that the psychologist is a former employee of the LPP.

Everything is connected there.

They work in dynasties, mother, brother, sister, godfather," says the Belarusian.

Vitaly also says that "everything is very sad" with medical care at the LPP.

A former political prisoner tells how a man who complained of a sick heart was brought to the hospital.

"Only after he was transferred from quarantine to the unit did he die.

Just went to sleep and didn't wake up.

They brought a man who had an operation just before he was admitted to the hospital - his toe was amputated.

No one treated him at the preventive clinic, he went to work, complaining of severe pain.

No one paid attention.

When he could no longer walk to the industrial zone, he was given crutches and ordered to walk to work on crutches.

The result is gangrene.

He was quickly "discharged," says Vital Zhuk.

He claims that after conducting some kind of medical examination, the chief doctor of the LPP writes in the conclusion: "On the basis of alcohol addiction."

"This means that no matter what they find in you - blood pressure, heart disease, kidneys, whatever - it will all be from alcohol," the former political prisoner clarifies.

Vitaly Zhuk adds that he heard about cases of deaths and suicides that took place in the LPP.

"I had at least five attempts.

Some were taken out of the loop, others did not make it," says Vital.

The head of the LPP, Mikalai Moroz

"They earned there from forty kopecks to seven rubles"

According to a former police prisoner, the main occupation of LPP prisoners is woodworking.

Vitaliy says that he was engaged in investigation at the preventive clinic.

He found out to whom the earned money goes.

Zhuk himself received 30 rubles for a month of work at LLP.

"But that was before they calculated utility bills and so on.

About 5-7 rubles came to hand.

Others could get forty kopecks or one ruble for work," says Vital.

According to him, wooden boxes, baskets and pallets are produced in the preventive plant.

Among the prisoners in the preventive detention center, there are talks about the administration's possible involvement in the business of selling them, including to the countries of the European Union.

"I talked to a lot of people and saw a lot there.

They say that until 2020, trucks with Polish and Lithuanian license plates arrived on the territory of the LPP.

After 2020, they were only in Belarusian.

As far as I know, they exported woodworking products to the Ivyedrev enterprise (a private company engaged in woodworking. — RS), which is in the village of Starchanyati, Ivey district," Vitaly says.

He claims that the pallets, after being removed from the LPP, were processed, received a Polish stamp and then resold as Polish products to Scandinavian countries.

"Baskets were also woven there, which were also sold as products of a Polish company.

They made boxes for apples.

These boxes were going to Russia.

But the fact is that those wooden boxes quickly turned black and rotted.

Therefore, the management came up with a trick: to put them in some kind of liquid, which made them white.

But people, when they put those boxes in the liquid, burned their hands badly.

It was some kind of acid," says Vital.

The former political prisoner says that from the conversations with the "patients" of the prophylactic center and the drivers of the cars that took out the products from the LPP, it emerged that some of the products went to Germany via Poland and then to other EU countries.

"Wood of certain sizes went to Latvia and from there to Great Britain.

The pallets were processed and sent for the production of furniture in the Scandinavian countries... It happened that the normal wood was processed, very quickly, into chips, and very quickly taken out in an unknown direction.

Maybe to cover the tracks before possible checks," the interlocutor added.

Vitaly Zhuk also says that the most menial and difficult work at LPP is the production of charcoal.

"There are such huge barrels where coal is burned.

People have to go there, pick coal and clean those barrels.

People then walk around black and sullen.

After all, the bath is once a week, and the ice water in the tap will not wash off such soot and dirt.

It's even scary to imagine what's wrong with the lungs of such people," says the Belarusian.

The former political prisoner claims that he noticed how such coal is loaded into bags with inscriptions in French.

"I had contact with my wife, on dates, through letters that I sent freely.

I wrote out the website of that French company and the barcode.

She checked everything.

That French company was engaged in the production of coal.

I told this to the lawyer who visited me at the LLP.

Then there was a commotion in the LPP, those bags with inscriptions in French disappeared and ordinary bags appeared," Vitaly Zhuk claims.

You can really buy charcoal on the website of the French company, which the former "patient" of LPP tells about.

His country of origin is Russia.

"The employee said that I could be found hanging from the Christmas tree"

Vitaly Zhuk adds that an employee of the personal security department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs from Hrodna once came to see him at the LPP.

"I was naive then.

He began to talk about what is being done in the LPP.

And he told me that all this is done with the permission of the higher authorities.

And he added that I walk on the edge and if I still get into other people's business, I will be found on the Christmas tree.

Hanged.

And he pointed to the trees outside the window," says the former political prisoner.

Zhuk adds that he told the policeman about the letters describing the situation in the LPP, which he handed over for release.

"Because I actively wrote complaints, helped other "educators" with prophylaxis.

Sometimes he passed them on through his wife, as well as letters where he described his life in the LPP.

And somehow the wife and little daughter, she was one and a half years old at the time, were detained in the detention center and were not released.

Because they found complaints from me.

They kept her in the courtyard for four hours, threatened her, but they managed to get those complaints out of her," says Vital.

The former political prisoner claims that as a result, after six months in the LPP, he was convicted in a criminal case for insulting Lukashenka, initiated earlier.

He did not return to the preventive detention center, he served his sentence in the colony.
