[Reporter Wu Shengru/Report from Keelung] The Keelung City Fire Department received a report from the public at 5:45 p.m. today that a fire broke out on the third floor of a residential building at Lane 570, Nuannuan Street.

The Fire Department immediately dispatched 3 teams to rescue. When they arrived at the scene, they found two people in the house with choking injuries. They immediately rescued the injured and sent them to the hospital for emergency treatment.

According to the preliminary investigation by the police and firefighters, there was a quarrel before the fire broke out in the house, and then there was a fire alarm, and arson was not ruled out.

It is reported that after the neighbors on the 4th floor of the building discovered that the balcony on the 3rd floor was on fire, they immediately called 119 for rescue. The thick smoke shot straight into the sky. The neighbors on the 1st floor rushed to the 3rd floor for rescue, but because the door was locked, the firefighters did not break the door until they arrived. After entering the house, the two people were successfully rescued. The two injured were slightly and severely choked respectively.
