At the beginning of January, Kyiv received 13 buses as aid from international partners.

From January 27, they will all start plying the routes of the capital.

This was announced by the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko.

According to him, thanks to the help from the cities of Riga (Latvia) and Tampere (Finland), Kyiv is improving transport connections and restoring the operation of two bus routes:

  • No. 9, which will run along the route: "Bulgakova Street - Lukyanivska metro station";

  • No. 97-K: "Akademik Efremov Street - Rynok (Novobilichi Massif)".

Klitschko added that Mercedes buses arriving from Riga will take route No. 9.

Such buses will ply on the existing route No. 97. And on route No. 97-K there will be Volvo buses that were provided to Kyiv by the Finnish city of Tampere.

The mayor of the capital reminded that Kyiv received 10 more buses from Riga at the beginning of this year (the first 11 arrived in April last year), and 3 buses arrived from Tampere.
