Today, January 26, during a massive attack by the Russian Federation, our soldiers managed to shoot down most of the Russian missiles and "martyrs".
This saved hundreds and dozens of infrastructure objects.
However, unfortunately, there were still hits.
In his traditional video message, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi spoke about the lighting situation after another Russian shelling.
The head of state held operational meetings regarding the current electricity shortages and recovery after terrorist attacks.
As of now, there are restrictions on electricity supply in most of our regions, Zelenskyy said.
The most difficult situation is in
Odesa, Lviv, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Sumy
and
Poltava
regions.
He assured that energy workers, utilities and all those involved in the stabilization of the energy system will do everything necessary to restore generation and technical supply capabilities.
"I also thank everyone in the world who helped and is helping Ukraine with energy equipment. To every country, every company and every person – to those millions of our friends who, through United24 or through other support tools, prove that Russian terror must lose," Zelenskyy added.
We will remind that at least 11 people were killed as a result of massive shelling of Ukraine on January 26.
Another 11 were wounded.
Enemy missiles hit critical energy infrastructure and civilian objects.
In particular, hits were recorded in Odesa and Vinnytsia.
In the Kyiv region, the occupiers hit an energy facility.
In addition, a part of a downed Russian rocket fell in one of the districts of the capital, as a result of which a 55-year-old man died.
