To end

the war

in Ukraine, allies must supply Kyiv with more heavy equipment.

This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in an interview with the German publication Welt.

According to the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance, "no one knows when the war will end."

"If you want peace tomorrow, you must support Ukraine today. It sounds strange, but the path to peace leads through the supply of weapons," NATO Secretary General said.

At the same time, according to Stoltenberg, it is not only about the security of Ukraine, but also about further events in the world.

NATO believes that if Russian President Vladimir Putin gets away with an aggressive war in Ukraine, it will be dangerous for the Alliance countries as well, because the leaders of authoritarian states will know that they can achieve their goals with the help of brute force.

"Our security interests here go beyond solidarity with Ukraine, because if Putin succeeds, others will learn the lessons. The autocrats of this world are watching closely how we respond to this invasion," Stoltenberg added.
