Jill Biden's dresses were on display in Washington as part of the First Ladies Collection exhibit.

The First Lady of the United States attended the event in person.

During her speech at the National Museum of American History in Washington, DC, she thanked the work of designers Gabriela Hearst and Alexandra O'Neill, who were responsible for creating two of her outfits, Nova TV reported.

The first lady explained the design of her Hearst dress, which she wore to her husband Joe Biden's inauguration.

The flowers embroidered on the outfit are from each US state and territory as a symbol of unity.

The iconic First Ladies Collection exhibit opened in 1914 and features 27 dresses and more than 160 items that belonged to the First Ladies of the United States.
