German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius clarified that Leopard 2 tanks will be delivered to Ukraine by the end of March.

The German minister made his statement during a visit to the military in Saxony-Anhalt.

He also answered in the affirmative when asked by journalists whether this is a timely step to strengthen Ukraine on the eve of the projected spring offensive of Russian troops.  

We will remind you that on January 25, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced the decision to transfer 14 of its Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. Germany also gave permission to other states to transfer these German tanks to Ukraine.  

At first, Pistorius informed that Leopard 2 could be delivered to Ukraine in about three months, but now he clarified the terms.

Note that on January 25, the US decision to transfer 31 M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine was also announced.

The White House informed that the process of supplying equipment could take months.
